An Integrated Deck for an offshore pipelaying vessel
This contract was for the fabrication of an integrated deck for an offshore pipelaying vessel which would be installing rigid pipelines in deep water.
Incorporated into the fabrication was a floating deck which when installed on the vessel interfaced with the vessel’s J Lay Tower.
This fabrication was a major challenge in respect to the final tolerance required to ensure that the sliding operation of the floating deck worked smoothly.
The WD Close project team collaborated closely with the client’s team on the final fit out.
